About the Role
A global Lloyd’s Broker is seeking someone with a Claims Operations background, who would be open to considering a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover), which could lead to a permanent position due to continuous business growth.
You will be working with the Global Claims Director to establish optimal operational processes and protocols for claims handling.
The role will also require collaboration with external stakeholders in the London Market and participation in various working groups, initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities
Provide operational oversight for the London Claims team to ensure efficiency with Corporate and London Market requirements and SLA's
Review and recommend strategies for the management of claims in response to new and changing corporate requirements and the (Re)insurance market
Regular review and update processes and protocols to ensure these remain ‘fit for purpose'
Be responsible for the administration of systems and processes that make up Claims Operations
Ensure performance is optimised to enable faster, better decisions to be made by the Claims teams
Enabling and integrating technology and software into the operation platforms to maximise the efficiency and accuracy of their products.
Develop Management Information (MI) reporting to provide oversight of performance and governance of Claims function, to enable good business decisions and best practice outcomes to be made
Key Skills & Experience
The client is seeking someone who has good knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the management of claims with experience in MI data analysis and relevant systems.
You should have experience mentoring and coaching teams, coupled with a strong understanding of claims operations, technical claims lifecycles, and reserving practices. Additionally, a solid grasp of London Market principles, systems (like the London Market Claims System and Microsoft Office tools), and a familiarity with Lloyd's Market Claims Operations functions are essential.
